Yung Dank – “Mr. Roger”

“Mr. Roger” is an introspective, consuming slice of hip-hop from Yung Dank. Described the artist as “splurged out of my bitterness towards one motherfucker whose name I shall not speak of,” “Mr. Roger” succeeds in its overall aesthetic. A laid-back vocal delivery weaves around nostalgic brass and keys. A soulful vocal sample in the conclusion adds to the hypnotic feel. Despite being less than two minutes in length, “Mr. Roger” makes a strong impression.

“Mr. Roger” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of February 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Hip-Hop.
