Jo Marches – “Long Term Parking”

/

Impressing in the past with excellent tracks “Night” and “Move,” Jo Marches dazzles again with the track “Long Term Parking.” Continuing the dreamy atmospheric appeal of previous efforts, “Long Term Parking” again showcases the various strengths of Dutch, Utrecht-based singer/songwriter Johanneke Kranendonk. A fairly sparse beginning with escalating vocals and mellow keys builds alongside a swelling bass line. Nocturnal synths at the one-minute mark are gradually built upon, particularly with the sporadic additional synth twang. Gorgeous guitars at 01:20 emerge with a clanging resonance, marking one of several highlights throughout. “Long Term Parking” is a wholly engaging success from Jo Marches.

“Long Term Parking” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
