Reminiscent of Grizzly Bear in its haunting tone, “concussed.” features emotive vocals leading to a devastating, spine-tingling push at 00:56. Wordless vocal quivers, sporadic key-laden chills, and hypnotic guitar combine for a striking aesthetic. The band impressed with the tracks “Spaceships” and “Nana’s Happy Song” last year, and continues to develop their consuming sound. “concussed.” has me very excited for Sleepy House’s future.
