The Birthday Letters – “Dirty Crusty”

/

“Dirty Crusty” is the new single from London-based singer/songwriter The Birthday Letters, previously impressing with the XTC-esque track “Lesser Evil.” The 50-second mark brings forth a bouncy bass alongside perky percussion, with the dreamy vocal presence carrying from there. Added guitar jangles around 01:30 coincide with added vocal emotion, leading toward a satiating conclusion. “Dirty Crusty” continues the charming, heartfelt songwriting of The Birthday Letters. Their forthcoming album, out later this year, is certainly one I’ll be anticipating.

“Dirty Crusty” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Spotify playlist.
