The Criticals – “Talk Now”

/

Nashville rockers The Criticals impressed with numerous tracks in 2019, headlined by an hooky sound reminiscent of The Strokes. 2020 is getting off to a similar start for the band. The punchy “Talk Now” is among the band’s catchiest tracks yet. Vocals and percussion drive the intro, with guitar glistens and thick reverberations alike sporadically emerging. The build-up to the catching “I can talk now,” hook plays well, as does the guitar-driven bridge approaching the two-minute mark, playing with soaring exhilaration. The Criticals continue to churn out hooky rock with accessible, energetic charm.

“Talk Now” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2020’ Spotify playlist.
