Drew Kelly – “Looking For Love”

//

The catchy “Looking For Love” is a track out today from Atlanta-based artist Drew Kelly, made in collaboration with upcoming producer, artist, and new friend Chasen Smith. A dance-friendly kick and funk-tinged bass line complement suave vocals and sporadic synths to start, setting up for an obvious hook. It arrives in the form of a dazzling hook, complemented by twangy guitars and synth arps. Even in the midst of ample repetition, the “baby, stop looking for love,” hook maintains an infectious glow throughout, producing an atmospheric and melodic allure. This single has ample potential to rise quickly.

“Looking For Love” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
