Los Vii – “Delusion Platonica”

/

Fit for a hypnotic dream, “Delusion Platonica” is a new track from Los Vii, a solo artist from Spain who is presently based in Salt Lake City, Utah. “Delusion Platonica” is the first single from Los Vii’s upcoming EP Everyone, Asleep, releasing this summer. The artist describes the track as “a song about feelings of delusion and confusion that can come when two people have feelings for each other but nothing seems to go right.” Several of Los Vii’s favorite synths were used, notably their JU-06 Boutique and Yamaha PS-20 organ. Tender guitar twangs and rhythms pair with serene vocals to aid the wonderful synth-laden tones, dreamy and sweeping. Los Vii suggests that fans of Tame Impala and Beach House are likely to enjoy this, and I definitely agree.

“Delusion Platonica” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of May 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
