Ball Pit Witch – “Thinking of You”

A track that evolves with melodic allure, “Thinking of You” shows a creative form of yearning theatrics from Ball Pit Witch. The first minute does well with gradually escalating guitar twangs and punchy vocals, with the rhythmic cohesion around 01:10 combining with tender guitar lines for pure success. The track’s title and overall yearning reminds fondly of Frank Ocean’s “Thinkin Bout You,” — and certainly with a unique tint here. Similarly, “Thinking of You” achieves a consuming feel with its building-up structure and convincing production. I’m smitten with the tender guitar accompaniments and overall escalation.

“Thinking of You” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
