Miel – “I’ll Be Holding”

/

“I’ll Be Holding” casts a vibe fit for late-night retrospection. The track precedes Miel‘s new album, Tourist Season, on July 22nd. A former Vine star now churning out melodic dream-pop, Miel worked on the album with her brother, producer and multi-instrumentalist Henri Bardot. The lush vocal tone and nocturnal soundscape remind fondly of Chromatics, with the “give it up,” chorus escalating with melodic enjoyment. Prancing backing synths approach around 02:30, adding effectively to the dreamy allure. “I’ll Be Holding” is a thorough success from Miel.

“I’ll Be Holding” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
