Wa’el – “I Love You Why Would I Ever Leave? (Oh Right, and I’m Pretty High)”

/

The first track from solo artist Wa’el, “I Love You Why Would I Ever Leave? (Oh Right, and I’m Pretty High)” shows a serene form of pop with soaring tendencies. A heavenly synth pad and guitar twangs assemble an engaging sound over calming vocals, setting an engaging mood to start. The percussive pulsing and additional guitar just past two-minute mark adds nicely to the song’s depth and structure. A soaring vocal emergence about a minute thereafter leads to a breezy, melodic delight. This track definitely consumes with its hypnotic, dreamy pop tendencies.

“I Love You Why Would I Ever Leave? (Oh Right, and I’m Pretty High)” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Rock.
