Family Mart – “Starlite”

“Starlite” is the latest track from new act Family Mart, based in Austin, TX. A hazy soundscape, led by lush vocals and dreamy guitars, catches from the get-go. “How does it feel to be the one away?” the vocals glide alongside bustling guitars, expanding into an additional twang thereafter. Jangly and hypnotic, with vibes reminiscent of Wild Nothing, “Starlite” is a consuming track from Family Mart.

Cover by Daniel Hawkins

“Starlite” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2020’ Spotify playlist.
