Gravity Circus – “Lotus Eating Heathen”

/

Another creative track from Gravity Circus, “Lotus Eating Heathen” expands into a thumping display of darkly tinted vein of pop that resonates. “My heart is beating a little faster, a little skip here, a little skip there,” the vocals proclaim, with the percussive accurately reflecting that ectopic feeling. The “heathen chasing me,” hook plays with infectious allure, with a chiming lead underneath the heavy bass-laden backing. Lyrics convey an anxious feel, with an intensifying feeling past the two-minute mark showing exhilarating appeal. The track follows previous successes like “Shuteye” and “Millennial Crisis, Pop Rocks!

Regarding the track, Gravity Circus write the following: “Anxiety seem to hit us all some time in life, especially in this day and age. Whether we are one of the bravest or one of the chillest, you can’t escape it. It creeps as you creep and it runs as you run. Lotus Eating Heathen is the materialisation of this modern phenomenon.”

“Lotus Eating Heathen” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2020’ Spotify playlist.
