DISCHAAAGEEE – “Undue Score”

Wasting no time with pulsing synths and expressive vocals, “Undue Score” catches on quickly with a catchy electro-pop strut. The release comes from DISCHAAAGEEE, a singer/songwriter from Fukuoka, Japan. Citing artists like Talking Heads, New Order, and Roxy Music as influences, DISCHAAAGEEE shows a confident vocal nonchalance in the verses typical of such an era. The chorus is picked up by escalated vocals and melodic key twinkling. Wordless vocal enthusiasm meshes well with playful percussive pulses for an added energetic bounce. “Undue Score” is an interesting success from DISCHAAAGEEE.

“Undue Score” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2020’ Spotify playlist.
