Reed Gaines – “To Be Lonely”

“To Be Lonely” is the latest track from Nashville-based artist Reed Gaines. Touting ample mood and soulful charisma, the track grooves with convincing replay-inducing appeal. Nocturnal, minimalist piano tones past the two-minute mark combine with a ghostly vocal backing to send chills, culminating seamlessly thereafter into buzzing pop-forward familiarity. “To Be Lonely” marks the final single on the From Across the Room EP. Catching production, melodic vocals, and a nostalgic soundscape fit for wintertime brooding converge for a memorable track here.

“To Be Lonely” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2020’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Pop.
