Primordial Spasm – “Wash Away / Memories of Memories”

A recent track from Primordial Spasm, “Wash Away / Memories of Memories” showcases the Canadian duo’s melodic and atmospheric charms. Gentle bass and pulsing, warm synths accompany a lush vocal lead, escalating enjoyably as the one-minute mark approaches with twinkling flourishes. The chilled-out pop aesthetic succeeds throughout, capping off nicely with a largely instrumental second half, featuring alluring guitar twangs and textural fuzz. The duo are currently in the process of releasing an independent album, alongside music videos and visual art.

“Wash Away / Memories of Memories” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of March 2021’ Spotify playlist.
