Ghetto Garden – “Fifth”

//

The lushly glistening “Fifth” is a hooky new track from Ghetto Garden, also featuring Boy Bloom. Dreamy synths combine with the “nice to meet you,” lyrical opening for an inviting glow, swiftly swelling to the busier and entrancing chorus. “What’s my number?” the vocals ask alongside swipes of strings, galloping into the chorus as backing vocals add a serene mystique. “Fifth” charms throughout with its melodic, effervescent dream-pop production.

Per the artist: “This song was written about constantly being overlooked due to lack of money, connections or looks. An anthem for everyone who has worked from the ground up to get where they are.”

“Fifth” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
