Smotherly Love – “Two Flights Up”

/

Exuding shimmering guitar twangs and bright synths, “Two Flights Up” is a hooky new track from Smotherly Love, the Essex (UK)-based artist featured last year with the track “Places to Be.” Bouncy guitars and spritzy synths join alongside spirited vocals to start, the pulsing “do you feel?” bridge crafting considerable momentum. Laura Shaw’s vocal lead-in to the bursting chorus plays with a climactic glee, the twangy guitars and backing synth-laden illumination converging for melodically delectable results. “Two Flights Up” meshes a psych-friendly production with bright pop sentiments, marking another success from Smotherly Love.

“Two Flights Up” and other memorable tracks released in October can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of October 2021’ Spotify playlist.
