A new track from Barcelona-based duo Family Time, “Butterfly Season” spins an intriguing sound with plucky acoustics and hypnotic keys. Suave vocals remark “I’m only here to make a life out of song,” prior to a sequence of eerie synths. “It’s open season, far as I’m concerned, the more you know, the more ye learn,” marks an especially melodic hook, the harmonizing backing vocals adding resonance to the classic folk-pop sound. The orchestral adornments thereafter play with captivating qualities, adding a chamber-pop feeling to the established folk and rock components. “Butterfly Season” consumes with its timeless sound and suavely melodic pull.

“Butterfly Season” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.
