A dynamic art-pop standout with striking vocals and second-half theatrical strings, “Shadow of Doubt” is a riveting new track from ELITIN, the duo of Justin Miller and Elijah Bisbee. A gorgeous vocal layering emerges right away, with prancing piano accompanying the “ready for the spark” soaring vocal resonance. Glimpses of glistening guitars add enjoyably, as does bass-y rhythmic ruminations. The art-pop production continues to swell with emotive presence.
In particular, the “light it up, light it up” stellar vocal momentum consumes in building to the memorable mix throughout the second half, with flourishes of strings and backing vocal effects. “Shadow of Doubt” is a fantastic, immersive success from ELITIN.
