Maia Pillot – “Can We Try Again?”

/

The track’s beautiful time lapse painting video released today, “Can We Try Again?” is a new release from Portland (OR)-based artist Maia Pillot. “Can We Try Again?” presents a steadily evolving pop sound, expanding from the initial glow of spacey synth fragments and serene vocals. “I don’t want to let you go, but I’m scared to let you know,” Pillot sings after the percussion emerges and the keys pulse with added vigor. “When it’s over in the evening, can we try again? I wanna try again,” is accompanied by further synth-laden effervescence, the pleading vocal refrain playing with a memorable passion.

“Can We Try Again?” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2021’ Spotify playlist.
