The Confederation – “That’s Where You’ll Find Me”

Consuming with smooth, soulful funk qualities, “That’s Where You’ll Find Me” is a new track from The Confederation. The four-piece hails from Coventry, UK; they aspire to craft a sound echoing the feeling of “classic golden age artists,” and do so successfully with this single. The warbled guitars and lush synth backing combine with serene vocals, for a sound reminiscent of Portishead and Air. The suavely impactful vocals and guitar licks drive to spirited brass infusions, the “that’s where you’ll find me,” lyrical punctuation playing effectively each time. “That’s Where You’ll Find Me” is a delight from The Confederation.

“That’s Where You’ll Find Me” and other memorable tracks from this month can also be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of November 2021’ Spotify playlist.
