Planet Parlor – “easy // november”

/

Dream-pop duo Planet Parlor impress with their dual-single “easy // november.” Vocalist Liza Lynehan and multi-instrumentalist/producer Ben LeBeau concoct an ethereal sound led by guitar twangs and hazy synth pads. Both tracks succeed with separate personalities; the more structurally shape-shifting “november” swells from patient serenity into a brisk rhythmic twist past the one-minute mark, expanding texturally throughout, while “easy” hypnotizes with its steady, swirling dream-pop yearning. “It could have been so easy,” Lynehan repeats during a particularly entrancing section on “easy,” aptly reflecting the duo’s seamlessly unveiling melodic charms and hazy aesthetic goodness. The Newmarket, New Hampshire-based duo show a beautifully dreamy sound on these two gems.
