Faron Sage – “Head Or Tail”

“Head Or Tail” is an inventive new track from UK-based artist Faron Sage, meshing socially conscious hip-hop with bouncy electro-pop. Woozy synths and a bouncy bass line drives into a peppy vocal lead, musing about manipulation, greed, and other societal ills. “Maybe they’re just in it for themselves,” the artist remarks, before traversing into a bustling electro-pop fervency.

“Don’t have enough property, don’t have the perfect life, what then?” he asks, the sense of anxiety increasing alongside pulsing synths, into the “how do we make heads or tails,” hook. Wholly relatable in conveying the anxieties of life and class pressures, “Head Or Tail” is a clever success from Faron Sage.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2022’ Spotify playlist.
