Described as “a reflection on the worst and strangest turns of culture in recent times,” “The Weirdest One” is a blast of a track from Frederick, the First. The Minneapolis-based project of Andrew Frederick emphasizes an eclectic stylistic inspiration and fondness for clever hooks, with dashes of existentialism, introspective brooding, and witty humor.

The track’s funky guitar movements and “weirdest one,” vocal perkiness converge for a delightful effect, reminiscent in production to Of Montreal.
