Said Sara – “Sea”

/

San Francisco-based artist Said Sara, aka David Benson, presents a stirring sound on his new track “Sea.” Thick guitar strums and harmonica drive into Benson’s passionate vocal lead. Multiple vocal layers converge amidst the frolicking guitars, the “paradise of apathy,” rise resonating alongside additional pluckiness. Benson’s poetic, emotive lyrical content continues to impress on this track and others preceding.

The track sends chills with its second half, casting a twinkling and nocturnal soundscape. Glistening keys emerge after the two-minute mark alongside guitar pulses, making for a resonating atmospheric turn. Benson impresses with the seamless navigation from acoustic-centric folk into a mysteriously invigorating soundscape, a trait reminiscent of Damien Jurado. “Sea” continues Said Sara’s strong run of tracks.

Said Sara has impressed with multiple tracks in the past, last year with “Bleedways” and “I Star As You.”

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2022’ Spotify playlist.
