Diamond Revolver – “Half of My Day”

//

Captivating with its gorgeous psych-rock theatrics, “Half of My Day” is a standout new track from Diamond Revolver, the Buffalo, NY-based project of Stone Camillo. The track represents the first single from Diamond Revolver’s forthcoming debut LP.

The title-referencing lyrical opening, crafting an entrancing intrigue in conveying a daily grind/crawl, captivates with hazy reverbed charm, clanging piano, and a suave bass line. The vocals wander further with a dream-pop engrossment into the bridge, exceling into the “thought you knew it,” hook alongside twangy bursts of charismatic guitar. “Half of My Day” sounds quite timeless in its production and psychedelic allure, showcasing riveting songwriting and aesthetic.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of July 2022’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Indie Psych Rock.
