It’s easy to get lost in “Easy,” the new single from Chicago-based synth-pop act Spirit Pure. “I don’t care if you go,” the melancholic vocals let out amidst nocturnal synth tones, exuding a calm haze amidst shrugging lines lamenting that “nothing’s easy.” A reflective vocal backing plays with a subtly entrancing charm. The serene, seeming nonchalant vocal lead meshes with a hypnotic and relaxing production for a high quality output, putting this act firmly on my radar.
