Dreams on Tape – “Good Times”

/

Tampa-based project Dreams on Tape compels with a melancholic, nostalgic glistening throughout “Good Times.” The single brings forth reflective vocals, jangling guitars, and hazy synths — converging with a sweepingly melodic quality, hypnotically emitting a jangle-pop sophistication. “I lose myself in time,” the forlorn vocals let out. “The fault within my mind, in dreams I try to find, my way back to the good times.”

The band is the moniker of Jake Benfant, who crafts everything from his apartment, resulting in a clearly memorable sound that touts a lingering resonance. “Good Times” represents the first single from the project’s upcoming EP, Tomorrow’s Unknown.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2022’ Spotify playlist.
