Mayya – “Rock Inside My Shoe”

“Rock Inside My Shoe” is a newly released track from Mayya. A refreshing blend of jazzy brass warmness and mellow guitars complement Mayya’s consuming vocal presence, shifting seamlessly from quaint retellings to rock-inclined ardency.

The “now I don’t feel so afraid,” refrain presents a more familiar vein of rock, stylishly captivating nonetheless as it eases seamlessly back into the initial swaying verses. Warming jazz components linger between the vocal entries, as do prancing guitars into the aforementioned rock-inclined refrain. The final minute gorgeously exemplifies the project’s eclectic, melodic charms in its glistening instrumental prowess — meshing pop, rock, and jazz with sophistication and creativity.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2022’ Spotify playlist.
