Witches Exist – “Garden”

///

Austin-based act Witches Exist meshes moody guitar jangles and eerie synths on the consuming “Garden,” drawing from shoegaze, dream-pop, and ’60s psychedelia inspirations. As a textural, lingering guitar tone rounds the two-minute mark and converges with the nostalgic synth whimper, there’s a strongly hypnotic pull that takes hold. “Garden” succeeds firmly in its murky aesthetic, reminding fondly of Deerhunter.

All instrumentation within the track was performed by Jackson Baker at Matchbox Studios, in Austin, Texas.

This track and others featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of September 2022’ Spotify playlist.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Emerging Dream-Pop.
