Beryl – “Maybe it’s okay”

//

Sydney-based duo Beryl stir with eclectic and emotive power on their new track “Maybe it’s okay.” Plucky acoustics and contemplative vocals — fearing “I wondered if I might drown,” — build into spine-tingling accompaniments.

Solemn strings grow into a budding orchestral whisper amidst the lush vocals and sense of tranquility. The piano touch in the final section provides a chilling, wintry allure — the hints of rock and chamber-pop swell remind fondly of Weyes Blood. “Maybe it’s okay” is a showcase in quality songwriting from Beryl.
