Dandelion Head – “Two Hands”

//

The soulfully entrancing “Two Heads” is a grooving single from Dandelion Head, an artist based in Los Angeles and Melbourne. Soothing vocal theatrics complement a thickly reverberating rhythm section with funky appeal. The track is described as “an urgent, groovy meditation on the virtual world in which we spend so much of our time these days.”

Opening lyrics speak of dream-like states and “cold shivers in the cold blue light,” the nocturnal and balmy lyrics fitting the calming guitars. A peppier rhythmic underlying hits at the further expansions, picking up especially during the infectious title-touting refrain. “Two Hands” is a delight from Dandelion Head.

Furthermore: “It plays with the juxtaposition of using our hands in different ways… you can hold a flower, hug a tree, or enter a vast virtual universe the scope of which our brains can’t even fathom.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of December 2022’ Spotify playlist.
