Connor Kirk – “Strangers on a Train”

/

Yearning for a true love in its late-night reflections, “Strangers on a Train” is a catchy new single from Philadelphia-based artist Connor Kirk. The playful synths and bouncy bass line complement a charismatic vocal lead, escalating upon the “she was cool,” admiring into the more yearning central hook.

“Maybe one could drive me crazy,” Kirk remarks in the enchanting bridge, admitting “I need a girlfriend,” in the replay-inducing chorus. A more spoken-word vocal showing at the mid-point adds further suaveness and contemplation. Fit for brooding yet hopeful nights alone when genuine connection feels a million miles away, “Strangers on a Train” is a catchy, polished success from Connor Kirk.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2023’ Spotify playlist.
