fun machine – “Don’t Get Much Better” (feat. siestablend)

“Don’t Get Much Better” is an emotive pop success from Denver-based artist fun machine, also featuring siestablend. Per the artist, the track was “inspired by a long drive down The Pacific Coast Highway whilst longing for an unnamed love interest.”

The lush vocals and lethargic guitar twangs rise enjoyably to the spirited “don’t get much better than this,” vocal passion. Twangy guitars frolic entrancingly rounding the two-minute turn, culminating in another rousing chorus. The contrast between the subdued verses and energized “angels exist,” outpouring makes for a replay-inducing effect, especially the reprisal past the two-minute mark, coinciding with soaring guitar theatrics. “Don’t Get Much Better” consumes throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of January 2023’ Spotify playlist.
