Vibropath – “Got Me Down”

/

It’s very easy to get lost within “Got Me Down,” the latest track from Vibropath, a solo artist and producer from Rochester, NY. Described as “a song simply about being down bad,” the lethargic guitar tones and fittingly morose vocals craft a hypnotic pull throughout. An added guitar line reflects the vocals approaching the one-minute turn, giving way to a twangy guitar-fronted emphasis that retains the serene spirit of the initial dreamy composure.

A striking, soulful twist approaches the second minute, with the vocals admitting a sleeplessness alongside the eventual fuzzy guitar embrace in the finale. “Got Me Down” is a stirring showing from Vibropath.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of April 2023’ Spotify playlist.
