Andrew Butler – “Like Love”

//

Showing a heart-tugging folk aesthetic, “Like Love” is a new track from Andrew Butler, based out of Stroud, UK. Per Butler, the single depicts “the whirlwind of emotions when you fall in love – from hope and insecurity to electrifying euphoria.” His second album, Songs From The Underworld, will follow this up, releasing on June 23rd.

Finger-picked guitars and a delicate vocal lead casts a caressing, emotive spell. Lyrics seemingly depict the realization that this could be the one. “And I just can’t explain it any better than that,” Butler admits amidst the frolicking guitars, complemented beautifully by string-laden movements in the second half. “Like Love” is a charmer throughout.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2023’ Spotify playlist.
