Danny Morrison – “Ladies Do It Better”

/

Danny Morrison crafts a grooving pop mystique on new track “Ladies Do It Better.” A suavely contemplative introduction excels into an expressive second half, with energetic psychedelic flair leading into a rain-accompanied conclusion that settles back into the darkening mystery. This is a success full of emotion and atmospheric introspection. Originally from Minneapolis and now based in NYC, Morrison injects ample mood and emotion into his production.

Morrison speaks on the track and upcoming album:

“Ladies Do It Better was written in the fog and aftermath of my mother’s unexpected death in March of 2020. I had just started a new romance a month prior, yet found myself grieving. The confusion & disorientation was thick. I found comfort in writing this song, and it inspired a full length album that will be released June 22, 2023 entitled Lazy Moon Afternoon.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Best of June 2023’ Spotify playlist.
