Described as an “Americana-flavored tribute to the curse of Highway 17,” “Big Moody Curve” is a new track from Santa Cruz-based band Smoke Chaser, off their new album Alazapul.
Soothing multi-vocal harmonizing accompany driving imagery — turning off the headlights, taking hands off the wheel — and exude a free-spirited, psychedelic appeal into the “get inside,” euphoric vocal. The “come on and take a ride,” temptations are clearly evident, and the track serves as another success from Smoke Chaser, who impressed last year with the single “Highway One.”
