Psych-pop single “surround me!” is an immersive collaboration from the artists Crawling Vines and Melting Resonance. The Chicago-based Crawling Vines has been featured previously with tracks like “Falling off the Monkey Bars” and “Best Part.” Meanwhile, Melting Resonance is a Brooklyn-based engineer, composer, and producer. Their talents meld here beautifully.
The “oh, surround me,” tempting vocals enamor amidst the lush synth pulses and trickling guitar twangs. Brass infusions appear with subtle enamoring, melodically reflective and cohesively integrated. “surround me!” is a lovely atmospheric success, intertwining nocturnal synth tones, understated guitars, and smooth saxophone involvement.
