Hakusho Demon – “Aura (Night Drive)”

/

New York-based trio Hakusho Demon succeed on contemplative new single “Aura (Night Drive),” aspiring successfully to “try and capture a moment in time from my own experience in nature especially while walking at night under the stars,” per band member Ross. The production’s nocturnal, cosmos-exploring vibe proves hypnotic in its range of mellow guitars and bolstering rhythm sections, maintaining a consistently tonal lushness for an enjoyably mind-numbing effect throughout.

A serene guitar line emits a subdued engrossment to start, quickly bolstered by heady bass and drums as the guitars maintain their blissed-out flow. Strums of guitars at the one-minute turn combine with sporadic percussive excitement to conjure ample momentum, re-appearing a minute thereafter; the halted effect plays with enticing appeal alongside the sections where guitar, drum, and bass converge for a delectable cohesion. “Aura (Night Drive)” is an atmospheric treat from Hakusho Demon.

The track is also featured in the genre-based, best-of Spotify compilation Rainy Days and Late Night Drives.
