Cricket Blue – “I Hope You Never Think of Me”

//

Multiple vocal layers, understated acoustics, and starry-eyed backing synths combine on the gorgeous “I Hope You Never Think of Me,” a new single from Cricket Blue. The chamber-folk production is stirring, with shades of Weyes Blood, particularly upon the “oh friend, I hope you made it out,” hopefulness — as the plucky guitars converge with dual-vocal power and spacey synth flourishes. Gentle piano appears intermittently, and with chilling qualities. Cricket Blue thoroughly impresses with a powerful, beautifully produced chamber-folk sound on “I Hope You Never Think of Me.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
