Pinchy – “Hey Voyager”

/

“Hey Voyager” is the memorable debut single from Pinchy, a band from Perth, Australia. Serene, sleepy guitar work and contemplative vocals ascend into a blistering alt-rock energy in the chorus, quickly showcasing the band’s dynamic tonal range. Peppier vocals and percussive evolution signal the incoming eruption, with the “hey, can you hear me?” question venturing with seamless vigor into a blast of guitars and angsty vocal inflection.

Pinchy initially formed in 2016 as a Blink 182 band; it’s easy to hear their pop-punk influence in this track’s stellar chorus. 2023 saw the band come together to record their first original song, unveiling a no-frills rock appeal with diverse tonal appeal — rousing in both its initial moments of contemplation and soaring rock theatrics that follow. Pinchy succeed thoroughly on this smashing debut, and we’re excited to hear what’s next.

We discovered this release via MusoSoup, as part of the artist’s promotional campaign.
