Sherbet Tone – “Quitter’s Song”

/

“Quitter’s Song” is an engaging new single from Sherbet Tone. Galloping percussion and twangy guitars exude a sound fit for open prairies and dusty deserts, with a spaghetti-western enamoring overall. The vocals’ emergence showcases a peppier rock/pop vibrancy; the twangy guitars maintain, whilst the dual-vocal layering lend a hypnotic psych-pop appeal alongside in their dazed, melodic approach. Encouragements to “keep on feeling what you’re feeling,” plays aptly within the rollicking, natural-feeling production.

Sherbet Tone elaborates more on the track: “It’s a song dedicated to the grass being greener. It’s about an old dirty rocker; tired and wanting a way out and then finding a way out, feeling stable, and longing for the creative days. Feeling like a stray animal and unsure if you belong in this new warm home.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
