Bill Abernathy – “More”

/

Kansas City-based artist Bill Abernathy presents heartfelt contemplations on love and relationships within a folk/Americana intertwining on “More,” a track from the newly released album of the same name. The track releases alongside a music video, above, through a narrative exploring a couple’s relationship journey — bringing about a series of questioning and a drive to make the relationship work.

A shimmering background and tender guitar trickles guide into Abernathy’s warming vocal presence. “Lost in this journey searching for you,” they set the stage, exuding a search for true love — and the power of ultimately finding such, and moving beyond being just friends or lovers. Twangier guitars during the “am I took weak?” introspection add further to the lushly inviting soundscape, intertwining a string-laden majesty with quaint guitars alongside lyrical outpourings of love and adoration. “More” is a moving success from Bill Abernathy, serving as a poignant reflection on love and relationships.
