Late Cambrian – “Cave My Head Full of Dreams”

/

Brooklyn-based band Late Cambrian struts an infectious rock sound on new single “Cave My Head Full of Dreams.” The “will I miss being seen?” vocal rise builds into a chirpy range of triumphant guitars, echoing a nostalgic prog-rock appeal. A multitude of quality moments show through — especially the psychedelic “where will you go?” burst into feverish guitar-forward charisma, capping off this success with satiating impact.

“Cave My Head Full of Dreams” is a melodic, cleverly evolving success from Late Cambrian, formed over a decade ago by romantic and musical partners John Wlaysewski and Olive Hui, who met on set an episode of Nurse Jackie. The band’s current lineup also includes bassist Matthew Milligan, guitarist Eric Zeender, and drummer Ben Weiss. Musician and comedian Dave Hill also appears on the track as a special guest guitarist.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
