Lia Woods – “Fevering”

/

Los Angeles-based artist Lia Woods impresses with crunchy alt-rock vigor and dreamy pop soaring alike on debut single “Fevering.” Chugging guitar distortion complement vocals that admit “I’d rather be alone,” escalating into a higher-pitched ascension that pours out “I can’t take this feeling.” The spine-tingling vocal rise compels here alongside a lusher guitar disposition, highlighting Woods’ striking vocal talents in the final moments, especially, as the instrumentation begins to fade alongside. “Fevering” has us firmly anticipating what’s next.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
