Sunday,June – “Memories”

//

Described as “an experiment with delays and reverbs on guitars and vocals,” “Memories” is a new single from Sunday,June, the Swiss solo project of Mario Peiró Espí.

A suave bass bounce, jangly guitars, and ghostly synths lead into a lush vocal presence. “We sail through the ocean,” the vocals exude alongside twinkling guitar effects, allegorically representing one digging through their memories. The retrospective themes of self-discovery resonate alongside the patiently unfolding sound, one that traverses with a dreamy engrossment throughout — from the contemplative verses to the ocean-set abyss within the gorgeous chorus. “Memories” has us firmly anticipating whatever’s next from Sunday,June.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
