Finding a compelling middle ground between lush dream-pop and glistening rock briskness, “Walked in the Garden” is an engaging new single from Absolutely Yours. Led by Bridget Collins, the project impresses here and throughout the rest of newly released album Mirror Maze. “I wanna feel something,” the lushly entrancing vocals let out amidst starry-eyed synths in the chorus. The moodier, patiently unfolding verses build into the jangly title-touting bridge, fully satiating in a sound that reminds fondly of Alvvays.
