Dark Dazey – “Enemy”

/

The third single from Dark Dazey‘s upcoming album, “Enemy” reveals a dynamic psych-rock engrossment amidst what’s described by the band as a “ballad of self sabotage.” Bass-heavy intrigue complements lyrics expressing a state of being caught in one’s own head, and drifting away. Ghostly piano arises into spacey synth pulses, strutting a dreamy enamoring.

“Enemy” compels in its build-up from eerie spaciousness into a second-half rock buzzing, embracing a warming distortion and roaring guitar send-off. The Los Angeles-based project entices with “follow me,” temptations as the hazy, delectably creepy bridge arrives into bursting guitar tones. “Enemy” is another success from the project, which first caught our ears last October with the single “Gong Song.”

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.
