The Derevolutions – “Best Day Ever”

/

The latest from The Derevolutions, “Best Day Ever” is a jubilant blast of psych-pop color that celebrates living for today, even in the midst of all of life’s ups and downs. The duo of Brett and Ana Karina lend their vocals, multi-instrumentation, and smitten lyrical adorations on this dazzling success.

“That’s why you gotta live for today,” the vocals liftoff, traversing seamlessly into brisk Pachelbel’s Canon revisions and emitting an apt wedding-set bliss altogether. The twinkling “hallelujah,” segment commences another compelling build, concluding with a final frolicking flourishment. “Best Day Ever” is another shining success from The Derevolutions.

This and other tracks featured this month can be streamed on the updating Obscure Sound’s ‘Emerging Singles’ Spotify playlist.

  1. Was not expecting Pachelbel samples.
Was not expecting a Polyphonic Spree-esque explosion of sudden joy.
Was not expecting to burst into tears while grinning like a child.
